Labour Solutions | Sourcing Foreign Workers | BCSAWP | Low Skill Worker Program | Links & Forms

WALI charges a user-fee for organizing the many steps that are required before foreign workers arrive at your farm and for liaison services that may be required during the term of a worker’s employment. These user-fees are billed once the employer initiates an application.

What’s included in our fee:

  • Provide accredited seasonal housing inspectors and maintain inspection records
  • Assist employers in applying for migrant agricultural workers from Mexico and the Commonwealth Caribbean through Service Canada
  • Develop and distribute an employer handbook and program resources
  • Directly facilitate employer requests for workers with the Mexican Department of Labour
  • Coordinate worker transfer logistics under BCSAWP
  • Liaise on behalf of employer and industry with Service Canada, Mexican and Caribbean Consulates, provincial and municipal agencies
  • Represent industry at regional and national negotiations
  • Provide media relations
  • Explore and develop low skill worker program opportunities with eligible countries
  • Promote BCSAWP and self-governance of the Program
